Recall lookup

Which recalls apply to this model?

Search NHTSA's recall database by year, make and model. If you have the VIN, the decoder does this for you automatically.

Vehicle

Spelling must match NHTSA's records. Try the plain model name first — "Accord", not "Accord EX".

What a model-level recall list means

This is the model's recall history, not a specific car's status.

NHTSA issues recall campaigns against a year, make and model — not against individual vehicles. A campaign appearing here does not mean the car in front of you still needs the work. Most recalls on older vehicles have long since been performed.

To find out what is still outstanding on one particular vehicle, use NHTSA's own VIN lookup. They hold the completion records; we do not.

Recall data comes from the NHTSA recalls API and is cached for 24 hours.
